Abrasive & Water Blasting

Sandblasting involves cleaning a surface using fine bits of material propelled at high velocity. Sand was once the most popular material used in this process.
However, sand has a high silica content that can cause lung disease. As a result, it is now illegal to use sand while blasting. Although the name has stuck, a wide range of new materials are now used by sandblasting contractors.

Steel grit, powdered abrasives, copper slag and walnut shells are all used. Sandblasting is a very efficient and powerful process.
Many different types of surfaces can be cleaned by sandblasting contractors. Contractors can clean and prepare steel, brick, stone or other hard surfaces.
